Oceanform is introducing a revolutionary way of thinking about Yacht uniforms. Not only do we have a mission, but we are also on a mission. As a part of our objective, we aim to challenge the agenda of one of the world’s most polluted industries. The fashion industry.

For us, sustainability is the number one aspect we keep in mind for every decision we make when working with garment production. We are actively doing our part to make our products as sustainable as possible throughout the whole of our value chain. From design ideas, choice of materials, manufacturing, and distribution right through to our final product.

We believe that everyone should be able to benefit from the products we produce and that this should be done in a way that is both responsible and sustainable.

THE CIRCULAR APPROACH

Oceanform’s approach towards sustainability involves adopting a circular approach that prioritises designing, producing, and disposing of products in a manner that minimises environmental impact and maximizes resource efficiency.

As a responsible organisation, we take several steps to ensure that we adhere to this approach encompassing the entire product lifecycle. This includes product design, production methods, end-of-life disposal and supply chain management.

FABRICS

We carefully choose materials that are eco-friendly and can be recycled or repurposed.

Recycled polyamide is a particular material that we utilse in our uniforms. Recycled polyamide is created by processing and regenerating waste nylon, such as fishing nets, into new yarns. This process significantly reduces the environmental impact of producing new materials and diverts waste from landfills and oceans.

In addition to its environmental benefits, recycled polyamide has several advantages for our uniforms. It is a durable and lightweight material that can withstand the marine environment and its frequent use. It is also quick-drying and has moisture-wicking properties, making it an ideal choice for crew uniforms.

Oceanform breaks the tradition of incorporating fabric finishes that often include harmful chemicals. Using the latest technology, our finishes such as UV protection and anti-bacterial are all eco-friendly, making them the responsible choice for our environment.

OCEANFORM INITIATIVE

We understand the importance of building strong and lasting relationships with our clients. One way we aim to achieve this goal is by offering each sale the opportunity to be part of the ‘Oceanform Initiative’.

Upon completing our free application, clients will receive a certificate that recognises their purchase as a contribution to a responsible brand in yachting. This certificate not only enhances the credibility of a purchase but also highlights the vessel’s commitment to sustainability.

Want to help protect the world’s oceans? Join the Oceanform initiative and become a vital part of our community, where, together with our clients, suppliers, and partners, we strive for a sustainable tomorrow.

1% FOR THE OCEAN

In our community looking forward, we want to make a positive change by giving back. The Oceanform initiative will include our effort, which we call 1% for the ocean. This is where Oceanform will contribute 1% of revenues to environmental protection organisations. Working closely with our charitable partners, we will help develop global conservation projects.

Recognising that the superyacht industry has a long way to go before becoming sustainable, we understand that Oceanform alone cannot save the world’s oceans. However, this is our contribution towards fostering a more eco-friendly industry.

PORTUGAL

We are proud to represent a clothing company that is sustainably made and manufactured in Portugal. Our decision to manufacture in Portugal was based on the country’s reputation for craftsmanship, expertise in textile production, commitment to environmental sustainability, and our desire to contribute to the local communities and economies.

By manufacturing our uniforms in Portugal, we are able to tap into the latest advancements in fabric technology, including cutting-edge features such as moisture-wicking materials, UV protection, and breathable fabrics. These technological innovations enable our uniforms to deliver peak performance, offering unparalleled comfort, functionality, and durability.

With countless certifications and in-house practices, we can identify transparency in sustainability and ethics throughout our entire supply chain.

Our production facilities strictly adhere to European standards, which guarantee safe working conditions, and fair wages, and prohibit any form of employee exploitation.
